4 Reasons You Should Invest in SEO

Investing in SEO is one of the best marketing choices you can make for your business. This form of online marketing will help more potential customers find your website, which could have a great effect on your sales. Here are four reasons you should invest in SEO and consult a renowned SEO firm in San Diego County.

1. Gain Competitive Advantage

To keep up with your competitors and gain a competitive advantage, you should optimize your site. You can even look to your competitors for information about SEO techniques that work and the ones that don’t work in your industry. However, you should also find the keywords, content, or other strategies that set your business apart from your competitors.

2. Establish Your Brand

People tend to trust websites and brands that rank highly on Google and other search engines. About a third of Google searchers click on the very first website in the results, while only a tiny percentage click on the sixth or seventh results. The higher your page ranks, the more credible your brand will be.

3. Expand Your Outreach

SEO offers positive long-term results, and it will always be an important aspect of online marketing. With SEO, you can market your business directly to people who need your product or service while they’re actively searching for it. This strategy allows you to acquire more leads and expand your outreach.

4. Learn About Customers

Although SEO is primarily a marketing tool, it also provides valuable information about your customers. You can track data with Google Analytics, which tells you what your visitors search, what language they use, what region they live in, what time of the day they’re most active, and other important facts. This can help you make decisions about marketing and promotions.

When choosing a reliable search engine optimization agency, San Diego business owners and organizations all over the globe prefer Saba SEO. We offer a variety of online marketing services to boost your business’s online ranking and improve conversion rates. Is AdWords the Ideal Option for My Business?

AdWords marketing allows businesses to display their ads on Google. Businesses select keywords they want to advertise with. When users search Google using the particular keywords, the ad will appear.

AdWords is very successful with some businesses, but it doesn’t always work. Before investing in an AdWords campaign, consider whether it’s the right option for you.

What’s Your Budget?

AdWords charges you each time someone clicks on your ad. San Diego AdWords experts observe that most people who click on ads don’t make a purchase. Hence, you have to make sure it makes financial sense to try AdWords. You may have to try multiple keywords to see which is best for converting customers, but the trial and error process can become costly.

How Quickly Do You Want Results?

While SEO tends to deliver more consistent results and is usually more successful in the long run, AdWords has much faster results. It can increase conversions right away and bring in money quickly. If you’re desperate for immediate results, AdWords might be a good option for you.

What Type of Ads Do You Use?

AdWords has character limits that some businesses find difficult to work with. You have to choose keywords carefully and select what information you want to include in the ad. If you have a long headline or want to create an ad with a lot of information, AdWords might not be the right platform.

Are Your Potential Customers Searching?

If potential customers aren’t searching keywords relevant to your business, no one will click on your ads. You can use Google’s Keyword Planner Tool to see how often users search for specific keywords. If your relevant keywords aren’t searched very frequently, AdWords won’t be worth it. However, if your keywords are searched hundreds or thousands of times each month, AdWords could be a valuable tool.

Things to Consider Before Investing in SEO

SEO is one of the best ways to boost your company’s online visibility and increase sales. Many people search online for products or services, so if your website appears on the first page of Google results, you’re likely to gain new customers. If you’re thinking about investing in SEO, here are a few things you should consider before you make a final decision.

Time

Before consulting a San Diego SEO provider, bear in mind that some SEO strategies bring quick results, while others are slower but more consistent. You may have the time and patience to wait several months or even years for your keywords to rank, and the results will be great. However, many people don’t have that much time. If you want immediate results, you may have to invest heavily in SEO and consider a wide variety of strategies such as social media marketing.

Content

Content creation is important for boosting your online visibility. Consider what type of content would be the most helpful and the easiest to create. Your SEO agency should be able to regularly add relevant content to your site. Blog posts, articles, photos, videos, and data are all popular and successful forms of SEO content.

Cost

Cost is one of the most important considerations when investing in SEO. Add up all the costs of incorporating SEO into your site, and calculate how much extra profit you’ll need to make to get a positive return.

Conversions

Although SEO is great for increasing conversions, not every high-ranking keyword will have a high conversion rate. It’s important to manage your expectations before investing in SEO. When you rank well with a particular keyword, monitor it constantly to make sure it stays successful.

Businesses can boost their online visibility by taking advantage of high-quality search engine optimization services. Google: We Do Not Penalize for Spamming Meta Keywords

The purpose of meta keywords is to give search engine crawlers a clue about a webpage’s content. While this may be helpful for indexing purposes, it’s never been an important ranking factor. It’s widely known that Google ignores meta keywords, and they recently confirmed they don’t penalize for the keyword meta tag. Experts at Saba SEO discuss Google’s views on meta keywords.

Google’s Clarification

The “announcement” from Google was actually a response to a tweet from a marketer who suggested abuse of meta keywords should be a spam signal. After being asked how Google treats abuse of meta keyword tags, Gary Illyes of Google simply responded with, “It doesn’t,” implying there’s no penalty at all for spamming meta keywords.

The Demise of Meta Keywords

Just because Google isn’t penalizing for meta keywords doesn’t mean you’ll be rewarded if you stuff a lot of keywords in your web content. This is because search engine optimization has evolved since the mid-1990s when meta keywords were first being used in abundance.

In the early days of SEO, some people realized they could spam their meta keywords in an attempt to trick search engines and rank better. Google soon caught on and began ignoring them for ranking purposes. They officially announced in 2009 that they “[do] not use the keywords meta tag in web ranking.”

An argument can be made that meta keywords are essentially dead. Yahoo announced in 2009 that they don’t give much weight to this tag either. Bing followed suit in 2014 by saying meta keywords may be used to help bots target topics, but it’s not a ranking factor. You’re more likely to see the results you want by focusing on using keywords naturally in the content you produce.

Facebook Is Planning to Test Paywall for Instant Articles

Facebook recently announced their plan to start testing subscriptions for their Instant Article publishers. When the site first introduced the Instant Articles format, publishers hoped it would bring a boost in revenue. It may not have been as successful as they hoped, but adding the paywall might be a new way for publishers to profit. San Diego SEO service providers discuss the latest changes in Facebook’s Instant Articles feature and how it could impact social media marketing.

The testing will start in October 2017. According to Campbell Brown, the head of the news partnerships team at Facebook, “As part of the Facebook Journalism Project, we are taking the time to work closely together with our partners and understand their needs.”

Facebook officials are now meeting with publishers to discuss the paywall plan. Last week, the representatives hosted roundtable meetings in New York and Paris with publishers. The details of exactly how the subscription plan will work have not been settled yet. Currently, it appears Facebook users will be able to read 10 free articles per month from a specific publisher. Then, they’ll have to purchase a subscription to read more articles. If they already subscribe to the site, they can authorize their subscription through Facebook without signing up for a Facebook-only subscription.

Publishers can choose whether all or only some of their articles will be behind the paywall, and they can fully control their subscriber data.

There is no information yet on how people will purchase subscriptions through Facebook. Instant Articles are also currently mobile-only, so it’s unclear whether the subscriptions will be available on Facebook’s desktop site.

The testing period will show whether users are even willing to pay for the subscription. The official paywall plan won’t go into effect until 2018 or later, so Facebook and the publishers involved should have time to work out any issues they encounter during testing.

A Quick Review of Google Analytics’ New Question Feature

In 2016, Google announced their plan to enable users to ask plain language questions in Google Analytics. This plan allows people to get important information about their businesses or organizations without needing specialized knowledge in Google Analytics. With more people able to access and understand Google Analytics, data analysts will have more time to focus on strategizing. Here’s a quick review of Google Analytics’ new question feature, brought to you by San Diego SEO optimization experts.

Analytics Intelligence

The new question feature is an expansion of the automated insights system that was added to the Google Analytics app last year. Both features are part of Analytics Intelligence, a set of tools that help users navigate and understand their analytics. The automated insights remember the data the user has searched for or engaged with in the past. This allows the tool to present more relevant and useful information every time the user logs in.

Nearly 20 percent of Google Analytics app users use the automated insights feature monthly. The ability to use plain speech in Google Analytics will make it even easier for people to receive analytics information.

How to Use the Feature

In the mobile app, you can access Analytics Intelligence by tapping the circular icon in the right corner. The feature has recently been added to the desktop version as well. After clicking the Intelligence icon, users can see their automated insights and type plain language questions into the search box.

Types of Questions

The system mostly supports “what” and “how many” questions. After your initial question, you can also ask follow-up questions for more detailed information. The system is new, so it doesn’t yet support “why” questions. However, it will learn over time and eventually be able to answer those questions. You can currently only ask questions in English, but Google will add other languages to the system in the future.

How Is Google’s Video Ranking Different from YouTube’s?

During your online searches, you may have noticed that Google ranks videos differently than YouTube. If you enter a search query into Google, you’ll come across an entirely different set of video results than if you enter the same search into YouTube. According to a Stone Temple Consulting report, video rankings vary between Google and YouTube about 57 percent of the time. Experts at a leading San Diego SEO firm discuss key features of the report.

Researchers at Stone Temple Consulting discovered that in queries that return multiple videos, the first videos listed on Google and on YouTube don’t match 64.8 percent of the time. In queries that return just one video on Google, the Google video doesn’t match the top YouTube result 52.7 percent of the time.

Eric Enge, CEO of Stone Temple Consulting, suggests Google and YouTube show different search results because the two sites have different goals and KPIs. Google’s primary goal is to find helpful, informational, and relevant content for users. YouTube, on the other hand, mostly tries to entertain viewers. The two sites also have different requirements and priorities for video optimization.

YouTube places emphasis on user engagement. They consider how long a user watches a video, whether or not the viewer watches another video, how many views a video has, how many times a video has been shared, and how many subscribers a channel has. To optimize videos for YouTube, creators should make a compelling and engaging video with relevant tags and a detailed video description.

Because Google focuses more on information than on entertainment, they prioritize informational videos, tutorials, and how-to videos. Like YouTube, keywords, titles, and descriptions are also important for optimization.

Although Google and YouTube have different systems for ranking videos, businesses should try to optimize their videos for both platforms. When making a video production strategy, consider the algorithms for both sites.

What Does the Cost of SEO Depend Upon?

Digital marketing services are important for the growth of a business. However, cost is also a vital factor to consider when choosing an SEO agency. You can find SEO consultants charging anywhere from $25 to over $500 an hour.

Every business is different, so it’s difficult to determine exactly how much you should spend on SEO. San Diego SEO experts suggest a few things you should bear in mind when preparing a digital marketing budget.

Previous SEO Work Done

If you’ve had SEO or digital marketing work done on your site before, the current SEO project will probably be cheaper. If you’ve never incorporated any SEO strategies into your site, you may have to pay more.

Business Goals

Your company’s specific goals and expectations will impact your SEO costs. Digital marketing firms consider whether your goal is to grow 10 percent, 50 percent, or 200 percent before they come up with an SEO plan and announce the cost.

The Need for SEO

You should decide whether you need SEO services, strategies, or a mix of both. Strategy involves conducting audits on your site and coming up with a plan, and services involve putting that plan into place. On average, hiring SEO professionals to design strategy might cost more than hiring them only for services.

Make sure to review the project plans when an SEO agency gives you a quote. This can help you understand what you’re being charged for and whether each individual service is worth it.

For premier digital marketing services, turn to Saba SEO, a reputed San Diego search engine optimization company. We offer a variety of services to boost your business’s search engine ranking. The Constant Aspects of SEO

It’s common for SEO experts to discuss the ever-changing algorithms for search engine optimization. Google updates its algorithm frequently and popular SEO strategies evolve over time, but several fundamentals of SEO remain unchanged. San Diego search engine optimization experts discuss a few components of SEO that stay the same.

Crawlability

Crawlability is a search engine’s ability to find your site. The search engine needs to access and read your content in order to rank it, so crawlability should be your first consideration when optimizing your site.

Most pages can easily be found by search engines, but Flash and JavaScript pages sometimes have hidden links that prevent search engines from locating them. You can use both HTML and XML to make it easier for search engines to crawl your site.

Site Structure

Search engines should be able to understand the hierarchy of your website content. When they crawl, they find the homepage and click on every link, and they assume the pages linked on the homepage are important. Hence, you should only link the most important pages of your website to the homepage.

Keywords

Keywords give search engines an idea of what your content is about and what search queries are relevant to your site. Google penalizes websites that attempt to fit keywords into a page as many times as possible. Instead, try to provide helpful content that naturally uses relevant keywords.

Backlinks

Backlinks are links from other sites to your site, and they’re one of the most important elements of Google’s SEO algorithm. Search engines weigh the quality of a site linking back to yours. The more authoritative sites link to your site, the better your site’s ranking will be.

There are frequent updates to Google’s algorithm, but these fundamentals don’t change. You can focus on the unchanging basics of SEO to create a site that will rank well. Facebook to Test Its Latest Ads Feature in Marketplace

The Facebook team recently announced they will be testing ads in their Marketplace section, which was introduced last year as a place for users to buy and sell items like toys, clothing, and sports equipment. Facebook users can even advertise apartments or look for jobs in the Marketplace. This new feature could have a lasting impact on internet marketing. San Diego SEO experts discuss the latest ads feature in detail.

The Marketplace is very similar to Craigslist, and it has been extremely successful in the past year. Users can search for a wide variety of items in their location, and sellers can easily list items that will be seen by hundreds or thousands of users. In May 2017, there were more than 18 million items listed for sale on the platform. Because of the Marketplace’s success, Facebook plans to incorporate ads to boost their revenue.

The ads will look similar to the organic listings in the Marketplace, with a picture of a single product with the advertiser’s name. However, they will have a “Sponsored” label so users can easily see which items are ads. When you click on the ad, it will open the advertiser’s main site or product page. The ads will only be visible when you scroll down the main feed, so they won’t be present in any category-specific feeds.

A Facebook spokesperson announced that only a small percentage of Marketplace users will view the ads during the testing period. Before they make any changes or move forward with the process, they’ll evaluate the selected users’ responses to the ads. A few brands have agreed to have their products placed in the Marketplace as ads.

It may be a while before most Facebook users see ads in the Marketplace. However, this could be a good way for Facebook to earn ad revenue in areas other than people’s Facebook feeds.
